After the results, what should you be looking for
  • Receive the scorecard issued by IBPS through post.There is no facility to see the marks or to download the score sheet online.
  • Look in newspapers or in this site for new bank jobs notified by public banks to fill vacancies.
  • The notification would contain the eligibility criteria such as education, age & most importantly the required cwe score.
  • If you satisfy the conditions & have the prescribed score, follow the instructions on applying for the post.Mostly it would done through the bank`s website.
  • The bank will shortlist candidates & call them for personal interview by preparing a merit list with top scorers at the top .
  • Once the interview is complete, final appointment is made.

Q: Can I apply to any number of banks after the exam?
A: The validity of scorecard is 1 year.So if you are within this period & fulfill the required eligibility conditions, applying for any bank is possible.

Q: The test result shows ‘Pass’.Will I surely get a bank job?
A: No.Clearing the test alone does not guarantee any job.You have travelled only 50% of the road & to cover the balance 50%, it is necessary to apply for the recruiting bank with your test score & appear for Interview to complete the final selection.

Q: My result status shows ‘Fail’.Will I receive scorecard?
A: No.Scorecards are sent only to candidates who have cleared/passed the exam.

Q: I have failed/ I did not write the test.When to apply again?
A: The exact date is not known but IBPS may start registrations for the next PO common exam in the months of January or February 2012

Q: Will banks have separate cutoffs?
A: Not cutoffs, but each bank will specify a minimum IBPS CWE score for each section in the notification & only those who have secured that shall apply for vacancies.

IBPS has conducted IBPS Clerk Exam (CWE) for the selection and recruitment of bank clerks in 19 participating bank on three dates – 27th Nov 2011, 4th Dec 2011 and 11th Dec 2011. We are receiving lot of queries regarding the result dates for these exams.

Please note that the results of these exams on 3 different dates will come on a single date somewhere in Jan 2012 end or early Feb 2012. About 40 Lakhs candidates have applied for these jobs.
The recent result which has come is of Bank PO exam conducted on 18th Sept 2011 and not of bank clerk exam.(Link – IBPS PO Result) If you have appeared in the common written exam (CWE) for bank clerical and you want to know the result of IBPS CWE Clerk than you have to wait for maximum 2 more weeks as results are expected to come on or before 6th Feb 2012. The result will only show the pass or fail status. Actual scores can be known only through scorecards sent to only passed candidates through speed post.

Selecting: The process of selection would be through a written test, that would have 4 sections with 200 questions & each wrong answer will fetch negative mark.
  • Although the total marks is 200, it shall be converted for 70 marks to facilitate ranking.
  • Only those securing a minimum of 40% in the exam will qualify for the interview, which follows a ratio of 1:3 from the merit list.
  • Final appointment is made by considering your marks in test + interview.
Applying: The fees have to be paid in cash using the given challan at any branch of Himachal gramin bank or Punjab National Bank before Feb 16, 2012

Andhra Bank PO Recruitment 2012 for OBC Category

Andhra bank has announced PO recruitment specifically for OBC category. The bank with head office in Hyderabad is one among the leading public banks in India having over 1350 branches across 21 Indian states.


The 88 year old has 14225 employees, according to a page in wikipedia.

This is a special hiring drive to fill backlog vacancies only in OBC category.

With a payscale of Rs.14,500 – 25700, the salary shall be approx.Rs.24,994 /month (could vary with location of branch)

Am I eligible?
To apply for this Andhra bank PO recruitment, the conditions are,
* Age to be within 21 – 30 yrs, as on July 1, 2011
* Must be a graduate in any stream with 60% or more (results or mark sheet must have been issued on or before 1.07.2011)
* Should have TWS of 141 in IBPS PO exam

How will I be selected? Eligible candidates with high scores in common exam would be shortlisted for Interview process, which shall be conducted for 35 marks.To qualify, you must secure atleast 14 marks.

Service bond: The selected officers shall sign a bond for 5 years, of which 2yrs would be probation period.If you choose to leave before the end of bond, Rs.75,000 must be paid to the bank.

  • Total weighted score must be 130 marks (Gen) or 117 (SC/ST/OBC) in IBPS common exam.
Selection process is not complex, with the bank set to conduct just an interview for 100 marks.
Qualifying marks for Interview – 50 (Gen) & 45 (SC/ST/OBC)
Applicants shall be ranked in a merit list according to their IBPS scores & those at the top are to be called for personal-interview in the ratio of 1:3

The final list of appointment would be prepared by taking into account your
test + interview marks category-wise.
